7 months, 3 weeks agoThe foolish man trivializes small faults, indulgences, and sins, believing they have no significant impact on his life. He convinces himself that as long as he avoids major immoralities, he is virtuous and even holy. However, this mindset deprives him of true virtue and holiness. The world sees him for who he is and doesn’t reverence, adore, or love him. He is overlooked and considered insignificant, with no influence. As the Bible says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much” (Luke 16:10). The small things matter, and neglecting them undermines our character. The efforts of such a man to promote virtue and urge others to abandon great vices fall flat. His disregard for small vices permeates his entire being, defining his character. On the other hand, “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10).In contrast, the one who treats even the smallest delinquencies as significant becomes a saint. As Matthew 5:48 says, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Truth is indeed wrapped up in the smallest details.Let us remember that “small” sins can have a significant impact on our relationship with God and our influence on others. May we strive for holiness in all aspects of life, knowing that “He who is holy will be holy still” (Revelation 22:11).
